N BSUAC ON AN EXCURSION TRIP

Within the framework of the XII th All - Russian Theater Festival «Actors of Russia to  Mikhail Shchepkin», students and professors of the Gubkin branch of our University together with the travel agency «Dobrokhot» visited an excursion trip to Prokhorovka, Stary Oskol, Belgorod.

The participants visited the museums of the Prokhorovsky district - «The Third Battlefield of Russia», where they got acquainted with documents, photographs, weapons, memorial items and other exhibits. In the museums of armored vehicles, tourists watched the full picture of the development of the history of tank construction from the period of antiquity and the Middle Ages to the present day. In the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the children noticed marble slabs on the walls with the names of 8,500 soldiers who died on the Prokhorovsky field, learned more about the Victory Monument «Belfry» and the monument «Dome of the Reichstag».

In Stary Oskol city, the delegation got acquainted with the sights, architectural monuments, and history of the city.

     Our students took part in master-classes: they tried themselves in drawing techniques, pottery, and learned how to create animated sand films. The final one was a master-class on learning to play the guitar.

      In Belgorod city, the participants of the excursion visited  Belgorod State Academic Drama Theater named after M.S. Shchepkin, where they were able to enjoy the performance «They don't joke with love». After that, the guys got acquainted with the history of the theater, visited the museum.
