The first regional stage of the Worldskills Russia contest was held in the Belgorod region on February, 27 to March, 3. – The main Worldskills association’s mission is to draw attention to working professions and creating favourable conditions for development of high professional standards. It is completely consistent with the economic policies of the Belgorod region and whole Russia. Our region's system of vocational education is ready to answer this challenge and prove that Belgorod workers are the best in the world, said Evgeny Savchenko, the Governor of the Belgorod region.

Besides the contest schedule, everyone interested could attend the exhibition of professional educational organizations, anchor employers and other institutions, organized in BelExpoCentre. – Three days flew like one moment, there were agitation and excitement, worries, but I’m sure there also was room for smiles, and drive. I’m here today to announce awards in the most fragile nomination — the young people who are about to mount the scene will work with the most fragile material — with children aged 18 months to 10 years, announced Olga Pavlova, Head of Department of Internal and Personnel Policies.

The creative ensembles of BGIIK prepared musical and dance performances for the award winners and the guests of the official ceremony. The spectators enjoyed the art of Fortuna-Next, a variety singing studio; Vysota, the Theatre of Free Plastique; Vezelinka, folk singing and dance ensemble. Among the other guests one could see Daniil Ufimtsev, Head of management projects on regional human resourcing standard implementation to ensure industrial growth, who received a letter of gratitude from the Governor Evgeny Savchenko.
